Can Male Rabbits breed girls when they are under 3 or 4months?

Add comments

I don't know how old my rabbit is but when is he ready for breeding?
And could he still breed younger ?
( I feel really dumb cause I use to raise rabbits but its been so long I can't remember..)

Its unlikely that they breed at that young of an age but it definitely is possible. I would suggest not trying to breed the rabbits that young but it is possible.

Rabbits are theoretically fertile as early as 13 weeks sometimes and they need to be separated by sex prior to that age. However, you should wait until your rabbit is fully mature (age varies by breed) before thinking about breeding him. If you are a responsible breeder, you will want to make sure his temperament, conformation, markings, etc are of the highest caliber prior to deciding his genes are worth being passed on to future generations. There are enough mediocre-quality bunnies in shelters and rescues everywhere without anybody adding any more to them.

Nobody is perfect. Rabbits will breed when they are sexually nature even if they look tiny to us. If they are together you will know soon.
