Breeders Quote: This doe is an very good example of the Lionhead breed and what we at Mossypossum Farms are striving for. She has a nicely shaped head and short ears. She has very clean ears and has nice normal fur between her eyes. She is a very solid and compact doe, very well balanced in all regards. Rum is a a very showy doe, she has the depth of shoulders to pose readily and nice bone, a winning combination for a good pose. She has a beautiful normal rollback coat. The best thing about her is her gorgeous mane! This is exactly the length, texture and density we strive for and she is shedding out wonderfully and should be in top show form in May. She also carries dilute, so she will make an excellent addition to a blue breeding program.

Bloodlines Information: Shot of Rum is a nice combination of consistent and winning bloodlines. Her sire is the black buck Mossypossum Darkhawk. Darkhawks sire is the black buck KPs Midnight Rendezvous which comes from Kadie Fosss consistent nationally winning herd. Midnight Rendezvous is double bred on KPs Aphrodite, the 2006 Statler Class winner. Darkhawks dam is Mossypossum Rose Red, a beautiful huge maned REW doe. Rose Red is daughter to Mossypossum Cosmo, a sable point buck linebred on our successful REW breeding program, out of Mossypossum Ashton, BOSV sable point NALRC Nationals 2006, also sire to the 2006 ARBA Convention winner Mossypossum Genova. Rose Reds dam is Mossypossum Burdette, BOV REW NALRC Nationals 2006 and Multi best of breed winner, who sold for $750 at the 2006 live auction. Both Cosmo and Rose Red were linebred on Dawn Guths successful nationally winning herd, on the fabulous sable point doe Bastets Allie, which was the foundation for our REW herd.

Rums dam is the opal doe DJs Chili which comes from the successful and consistent line of Diane Ostrem in California. She is a granddaughter to Cimmaron Hallmart, the 1st place senior buck from 2006 NALRC Nationals. Chilis dam is the sable agouti doe DJs Sheba who is linebred on Cimmaron Firebear. Chili has produced several BOB & BOS winners.
