My little guys about 6 or 7 mounths old. does that mean his mane is done growing or will it grow some more? It’s not too long but when I was looking at it today it looks longer on the top? Is he done growing or will his mane get longer as he gets older??
A lionhead’s mane quits growing when he’s about 8 months old… then, if the mane is pulled out or if he sheds it out, sadly, normal fur will grow in its place… this is the one genetic “Kink” in the makeup of the lionhead… we have not found out a way to get them to keep their manes… if he has hair on his flanks or hips, he will lose it as he gets older… Hope this helps…
