Beary Sweet/Lapinier Pacesetter
Ear # PA1
Tort Jr. Buck born 1/5/2009
Sire: Bastet’s Hambone
Dam: Prideland’s Pace
Pacesetter is a very thick bodied jr. buck, with a nice head, large eye, and nice small clean ears. He has good bone, and is very upright in his stance. He is taking his time shedding out, but most of Hambone’s do. He is showing signs of starting to clean across the saddle. I’ve been working on him and he’s shedding out more and more each time. He has a very strong pedigree behind him and should make an excellent breeding buck for someone! He crosses the best of Prideland’s and Bastet’s bloodlines, and genetically is very close to the 2007 national best in show and best opp sex in show.
His dam Prideland’s Pace is the dam of 2007 National Best In Show and Best Opp. Sex in Show Bastet’s Jhirra and Bastet’s Jabba (note-I wasnt’ sure how Jhirra was spelled-please correct) Pace is a lovely doe, with excellent rollback coat, very wide bodied and nice wide head and large eye. Pace is sired by Prideland’s Seymore, who is out of Prideland’s Samurai and Sousa’s La Jolla. Her dam is Prideland’s Salsa, who is out of multi BOB winner Prideland’s Tabasco and Prideland’s Embers. (note, Theresa was going to send more pedigree info on Pace)
His sire is Bastet’s Hambone, winner of 3rd place in the 2008 Statler Class. Hambone is sired by Bastet’s Oliver-who is also the sire of Jabba and Jhirra. Oliver is sired by Bastet’s Wookie and out of Swan’s Olivia. Hambone’s dam is Bastet’s Lumiya, who is out of Prideland’s Alabaster IV and Bastet’s Dilauro. Hambone has been producing show winning kits with huge manes that stay even as Sr’s. Hambone is sire of several National winners as well, including Beary Sweet Peaches, 2008 BOSV SS. (I’m going to get a list from Lisa of the ones she has shown who have won at Nationals by Hambone-I know she has several) Hambone has been producing huge manes, and small clean ears. Hambone will never be shown due to never cleaning off fully, but he is producing a legacy of top show winning Lionheads from a variety of bloodlines. This cross onto Pace is so nice we have repeated it again!

Smoke Pearl Doe
Born 10/4/08
Weight 2lb. 4 oz.
Ear Length 2 & one fourth inch
Breeder’s Quote:
Catalina is a shy little girl that likes to hide at the back of her cage until you take her out. Then she is a natural poser & poses right up. She is a small smoke pearl doe, her size common to Peace Lane lines. She has a short round little body & a nice round butt & I think she will fill out nicely as she matures. She has good bone with a nice head & great width between her eyes. Her mane is thick & beautiful with a good break beteeen her mane & flank wool. Her ears are small & clean. There were four in the litter, all nice & I had a hard time parting with any of them. Catalina was probably the best in the litter.
Catalinas sire, Peace Lane’s Jamal is a beautiful tiny smoke pearl buck. He has never been shown. Jamals sire is Peace Lane’s Okagongo who won at Nationals 2007 Best Sable Point Junior buck & he is still very beautiful. This was the only time he was shown. Her dam, Peace lane’s Adara was never shown but as you can see in her photo she is still beautiful & this photo was taken shortly after she kindled & had pulled most of her mane. Peace Lane’s Eurodia, is also a very beautiful doe & though she never got to Nationals she won many BOB & BOS wherever she was shown. At that time I was able to attend many more shows. Her Faternal Grand dam, Violet is a very beautiful smoke pearl doe but was never shown. The lines on both sides go back to Cimmaron Firebear so it is a long distance line breeding. ” Back In Black ” was Violets Maternal Great Grand Sire & Cimmaron Firebear is his sire. Back In Black is also Adaras Great Grand Sire so here Cimmaron Firebear pops up again. This is probably the reason my lines have always bred well with Cimmaron
On Catalina’s background On Jamals (Sire to Catalina) side it goes back tp DJ’s Back In Black & Cimmaron FireBear was his sire. Also the dilute comes from RB&P’s Rayford on this side.
On Adaras (Dam to Catalina) side it again goes back to Back In Black & Cimmaron FireBear.

DOB: December 15, 2008
2XM Tortoise-Black Doe
aaB_C_Ddee
Sire: Catwalk’s Chase (Black) 2XM PB
Dam: Crawford’s Mia (Blue) 2XM PB
3/11/09- Ear Length: 2 1/4 Weight: 1 lb 11oz
Breeder’s Quote:
Rosalie is a very nice little doe. She’s a small little girl, but still has the width. I expect her to do some growing before May. She has already started to shed out and has a beautiful rollback. Rosalie is a very posey doe. Her short and compact body make it so she poses naturally. She has a nice head and short, very clean, and thick ears. Her mane is coming in nicely; texture and density. The length is coming in respectably. She has a very rich Tortoise color and she even carries dilute for that blue breeding program. She is such a favorite here that she will also be entered as a representative for her sire’s Statler entry.
Bloodline Info:
Sire is Catwalk’s Chase, a black buck out of Bastet’s Hambone, 3rd place Statler at 2008 Nat’ls. Chase is a mutli BOV winner. His grandam, MSC’s Karma is a mutli BOB and BOV winner as well as 3rd Senior Chestnut Doe at 2007 Nat’ls. This line goes back to Bastet’s and DJ’s mainly. As we all know, they have wonderful winning rabbits.
Dam is Crawford’s Mia, a blue doe from C-S lines. She has a wonderful, long mane, and a nice bone.

PB DM Black Tort Buck.
DOB: 1-16-09
Weight: 2.00lbs
Ears: 1 3/4″
Dam: Bastet’s Sierra Bianca, F3 DM REW Doe. 3.12 lbs
Sire: Bastet’s J’Orrick, PB DM Tort-Black buck 2.13lbs
Breeder’s Quote:
Zavalla is a very cute little buck. He is an almost perfect little ball. His mane is not as dense as his siblings manes are but he still is showing a nice mane. His ears are clean, good toe nail color and teeth. Zavalla is very clean on the saddle and showing signs of a break. Zavalla is going to be cute just like his sire.
This is my first breeding with Sierra and J’Orrick and wow what a litter. Zavalla’s Dam is Bastet’s Sierra. She was the 2007 BOV REW at NALRC Nationals. She has won many BOB’s Sierra took 3rd place at 2008 Nationals. She is going on 3 years old and still holds a great mane. Sierra’s Sire is the infamous Bastet’s Oliver. Zavalla’s Sire is Bastet’s J’Orrick. He is a very small buck who does not have a very dense mane but he has a full mane and he has never showed a break. He does not have a show record due to this. He also ties into Bastet’s Oliver, who is his grandsire. His mother is Bastet’s Odessa, who was the second place Statler entry in 2008.

Please Read!!
At Wood Valley’s Lions we specialize in breeding Lionhead rabbits. I went out to feed one morning and the mother was stomping her six kits. These two are the only survivors. The kits have been separated from the mother, which is best after what she did. We have been feeding them by syringe for over a week now and they are doing great! Visit our website at: http://www.woodvalleyfarm.webs.com.
These kits will be for sale when they are eight weeks old.
